I can see that being a problem if I had read the book. I listened to the Audiobook though. I also love the way the show was more fun with the songs, and more satisfying to watch them work together to get a song written.

I really enjoyed both. I read the book and then watched the show pretty much right after. It did a great job of sticking pretty close to the book.

If you were Camila, would you have left Billy once she realized he was cheating and drugging while touring? And if so, what do you think of her one night affair with Eddie. Would you have liked to see her end up with him instead of Billy?

I liked Karen and Graham together and was a bit sad that they didn’t work out. But I get Karen’s POV. Graham wanted more than she was willing to give. Anyone else sad they didn’t make it?

It stays really true to the book, with only a couple of changes that don’t affect anything. It’s well done and the music enhances the experience!

Has anyone watched the Prime series based on the book? How does it stand up against the book? Does it do it justice? I have it on my TBW (To Be Watched) list.

Made me think of Interview with a Vampire which I admittedly have not read but have watched. That is probably too obvious an answer. (I watched the new one because the actor who portrays the man interviewing the vampire attended my hometown high school when I did.)

Yes! Takes me back to when friends more daring than I were groupies. I preferred to live vicariously, as I guess I still do by reading.
