I was astounded.  However, not one other person, except the proponent, voted for this.

Especially when she found them a place to live. I appreciated the fact that in this case it wasn’t a white savior which is stereotypical , yet addressed the concept.

But, why wasn’t I taught about it in school, at home, in life as I grew older. Did you know anything about this era with regards to this topic?

I am a fairly well read, educated person.  I just wonder why we don’t know these awful things happened in our not so distant past.
