I have read this novel a number of times, and at the end I always wonder what Forney is going to do once he returns to Oklahoma. You know that Novalee won’t want him to work at the factory, but she won’t want to leave her home. Forney also wouldn’t allow Novelee to be the only one who brings in an income. I’m thinking maybe teaching? (In the movie that’s what he did.) Thoughts?

Yes I think it belongs on the list. Her surrounding were much different than her hometown.

Absolutely! I have read it a number of times, and I was interested to see what others think about it. I was planning on rereading it anyway this summer, so it turned out for the best!

Yes, I think it is a good fit! I am currently still reading it but I have read it before a long time ago and I love the movie!
