I enjoyed this book, and it should stay on the list. These are the kind of books that give you enough history to get you researching more on your own.

Yes I believe it should. Although I didn’t care for the book…I wanted facts…it was quite entertaining and told a lot about the area in which it was set.

I think it was a good fit for Read Around the USA. It visited a number of places in PA and NY.

The tale of two immigrant women making their way in America while hiding their past was a great read. Both had a side of hypocrisy but were very strong and ambitious to move beyond their stations in life. It was another very well researched book by Marie Benedict.
