I enjoyed the book overall. The lack of hope or ability to move positively forward became an unnamed character in the story of the tenants. I feel this is representative of the experience some people have in New York City and other urban cities where the poverty seems to wage war on the people trapped in certain environments.

I think it should stay. I enjoyed the book and as Julie said, it was good to read each chapter by a different character and a different voice. It was interesting to see how all the tenants lives intertwined.

I absolutely loved this book! I loved how every chapter was from a different character’s perspective, and in a totally different voice.

I think it’s a great fit for the challenge, definitely fits the NY requirement.
