I am hoping to finish this book by the end of the day and be able to say (to myself) I finished it in the month of the challenge. First, there were so many books for this state I have read/read this month/plan to read that I now feel like I have a great feel for a state I haven’t been to yet. Life goal with my guy is to make it to all 50+ together. Anyway, I am loving the descriptions of this area. Being a landlocked Kansas girl my happy place to travel is definitely beach & ocean areas and these descriptions are clean and create pictures in my mind.

I don’t know enough about Connecticut to know if it was an accurate portrayal but the setting added to the story. Given that I think it is a good fit.

I would say most definitely! I have spent most of my life in CT (other than my two years away at grad school), and this book was so, so exact in its portrayal of the shore area. I could easily see all of the locations throughout the book despite the majority of the places being fictionalized. The book should definitely give readers from anywhere a good sense of the portrayed region of Connecticut!
