Thus was a fabulous book. It was my top read in March! I love it when authors put information about their research and the real history at the end of the book. I have always loved the Grimke sisters.

I enjoyed the book and touches many important topics, but unfortunately it dragged a little bit more and didn’t keep as engaged as I thought it would.

My library selected The Invention of Wings for their March book, so I decided to use it for this month’s ICYMI book as well. I really enjoyed reading it. Interestingly, I was over 2/3 of the way through the book before I discovered that the Grimke sisters were real people who promoted the abolition of slavery. I’m looking forward to our book club discussion next week to see what others thought about the book.
