This book was no exception. I would have gone to 5 had the ending been so utopian/wrapped up in a perfect little happy ending bow. I thought we were headed for heartbreak.

I do think there were some misogynistic treatment of Aunt Kate. I can’t imagine sending an 11 year old on a greyhound across county alone. There are also definitely some laugh out loud moments.
