The beginning of the book definitely gives a picture of Antarctica. The beauty, the starkness, and how quickly the weather can turn deadly. I’m going to Antarctica later this month on a cruise (bucket list trip). Everything you do is weather dependent so there is no set itinerary of excursions. This book shows why the cruise line reiterates this in most every communication.
