    • Now what? I have read this novel a number of times, and at the end I always wonder what Forney is going to do once he returns to Oklahoma.  You know that Novalee won't want him to work at the factory,  but she won't want to leave her home. Forney also wouldn't allow Novelee to be the only one who brings in an income. I'm thinking maybe teaching? (In the movie that's what he did.) Thoughts?
