    • Connection to Scott Field I was excited to see the two connections to Scott Field, where Dink trained before going to England and then again on Fritzi’s  airplane drop off.  It is now Scott Air Force base and I live only a few miles away. It was a surprising personal connection. how did you connect with the story?

    • Fannie Flagg scores again This was my selection for February.  I've always enjoyed reading Fannie Flagg's books, and didn't realize that there were some I had missed.  When I saw this on the list for February (2013) in the ICYMI Challenge, I definitely had to select it. I was so excited to read it that I finished it on 5 February!
