    • Surprise favorite I read this book for a challenge in 2023.  Although it started slowly, it really pulled me in as Tom begins to struggle with their choices/actions. AND Isabelle did not want to give up “her” child. It made me sad that they ended up separated in prison, but they did deserve the punishment.
