Reply To: Great stories full of plot twists.

I had trouble with the first half also. I realize that it set up the 2nd half, but it was slow. Sometimes I felt like Sophie was naive. I wanted to believe that there would be a happy ending for her, but I didn’t see how it was possible. The same thing was true for Liv. She was so determined to keep the painting that nothing else mattered. Sometimes I got a little irritated with each of them.

I almost gave up on the book but glad I finished it.
