I just finished waypoints by Sam Heughan (the actor from outlander) and loved it! It was a journey of self discovery as he walked the 96 miles of the great highland way in Scotland. I have also read and enjoyed a walk in the woods by bill Bryson (about the Appalachian trail) and wild by Cheryl stayed (about the pacific coast trail). Any other suggestion for similar reads?

Have you read Grandma Gatewood’s Walk? If I remember right, it’s also the Appalachian Trail.

Becoming Odessa by Jennifer Pharr Davis

I enjoyed both these books, plus I second Grandma Gatewood’s Walk.
