I like to find books that provide a sensory experience. For example, books that evoke scent, “The Perfume Collector” by Tessaro, “Meet Me in Monaco” by Gaynor, “The Scent Keeper” by Bauermeister. I felt I needed to wear a jacket reading Arctic Fury and South Pole Station and was made hungry by books like “Black Cake” and Kitchens of the Midwest. Most of the books you have in your lists fulfill the sight sense for evoking an image of the locations. I could hear the music in the book “Mary Jane”, Blau. If you know of others feel free to share. Thanks for all you do to keep our TBR piles growing.
