Participant@baucomlSuch a heartbreaking true story. Horrible that this happened and horrible that it seems to have been forgotten. I’m glad they made a movie, maybe more people will pay attention.

SusanaParticipant@susanaThere were so many people involved that I had a hard time following some of who did what. At the end of it all do you think that Ernest truly loved Mollie?

Participant@pcarrollI was so angry reading this that I put off watching the movie until very recently. And then I was mad all over again. I feel like by now I shouldn’t be shocked by the scope of man’s inhumanity to man, but here we are. This was just heartbreaking to read.

SusanaParticipant@susanaI also put it down a couple of times, I couldn’t believe so many people were involved.

Participant@jsgodfrey- Yes, I agree this should be required reading, along with many other tough topics that have been omitted from US history classes. I admit to knowing nothing about the Osage Indians or the heartbreaking treatment they received.
