Oh my, yes! This book is a wonderful depiction of the struggle following WWII. Women had stepped up into the workforce while the men were off fighting. Now they are expected to just step aside? Go back to the kitchen? Lose the measure of independence they’d gained? Not the Bloomsbury Girls. Each in her own way, they show the men of the shop who they are.
This was a great fit and should stay on the list! Such a great depiction of life during the era – and showed different perspectives of live for women (at home vs NYC).
