I really loved this book until the last chapter. What did you think about the ending?

I was less than impressed with the entire book. It was way too predictable. Rich boy falls in love with poor girl. Poor girl gets pregnant. Nasty family member strives to keep them apart. Blah, blah, blah. LOL

I think if they had changed the ending a bit, it could have been less predictable. I thought the coffee shop guy was going to be connected somehow – like maybe his father was the missing child, and the husband’s family was somehow responsible. IDK – something to bring it all together. I definitely did NOT want her to get back together with her husband – that came out of nowhere and was poorly done.

While most of the story was predictable, I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and a very smooth read. Instead of predicting what would happen, I prefer to let myself get lost in the story. It’s so much more fulfilling then trying to solve or predict what’s going to happen.

I just feel this story has been written many times already. I was hoping for something a little different.

I enjoyed it as a quick read. I do like dual time lines in books. I knew there had to be some connection with the bracelet.

Warren seemed sick/weak earlier in the story, but by the end he was walking and visiting.. Hmm. As I was reading earlier in the novel, I thought that Daniel would somehow be related to a member of Claire’s family, (including in-laws) so that foreshadowing worked well.

This was a good story. Yes, there are many stories constructed around the bones of rich versus poor, pregnancy, pay off and so forth. The ideas of connectivity and coincidence in determining life events makes for good discussion points. What if…
