MelissaFromBookGirlsGuideParticipant@melissatestDid you learn anything new about bees while reading? I thought the author did a great job using the bees to provide both serious plot points and levity throughout the book.

Participant@readercassAfter reading Mad Honey earlier this year, I thought I knew as much about bees as I needed. The design beehives, the association of music and the explanation of swarming were interesting and paired perfectly with the events unfolding for the characters. This would be a great book for an in-person book club discussion.

MelissaFromBookGirlsGuideParticipant@melissatestI thought the same thing about reading Mad Honey first and hoped this wouldn’t feel repetitive to me (it didn’t). I loved that this book taught me different aspects, and the music tie-in was especially cool. I agree this would make a great book club pick! It’s surprising it has been out since 2021 and didn’t get more buzz…pun only semi-intended. 🙂

Participant@kajingramMy in person book club discussed this book in May. We have a member who raises bees and collects honey on her farm. The music aspect was new to, if not all, most of us.

Betty SightParticipant@bettyettersI really enjoyed the things I learned about bees – especially the music part.
