Too many coincidences?

        I enjoyed this sweet story.  I enjoyed the bits and pieces of Alaska and the things I learned about indigenous culture.  But I felt there were an awful lot of coincidences to pull the story all together.  Did that stand out to you?

          I didn’t mind the coincidences, but then I’m someone who believes the six degrees of separation theory (and I’m still waiting to see how I am tied to Kevin Bacon!).  There seemed to be a lot of unspoken secrets and experiences with the adults, especially in a small community.

            I do have a lot of what my sister calls “small world” stories so I know these things do happen.  Definitely lots of unspoken secrets/experiences.  Maybe some of those were part of the coincidences–so not exactly coincidences, but not explained as more than coincidences. Definitely a slightly different way to look at it.
