        Everyone thought they were following the end of life wishes of our central character. Was there anything she should have done differently? Or was the situation impossible to predict?

          She should have discussed with Matt what her explicit directive would be. Even with that knowledge, he still would have been left with an untenable situation trying to figure out her wishes once he discovered she was pregnant. The pregnancy while having been certified as brain dead was a one in a million or billion thing. Nothing anyone except readers of this story would ever anticipate.
