Participant@nancybethelI love Amor Towles. How do you think his three books compare?

Participant@hwescottI love him too – it’s hard to rank the books since they are all quite different. I absolutely loved The Lincoln Highway and A Gentleman in Moscow. For me Rules of Civility was a bit lower but I still enjoyed it very much. The Adventures of Huck Finn was one of my favorite books in high school (we spent an entire semester on it when I was in 10th grade), and reading The Lincoln Highway kind of gave me similar feelings (the adventure, the cast of interesting characters, social commentary). A Gentleman in Moscow drew me in immediately and I loved spending time in Rostov’s world – I was sad when it was over.

Participant@pcarrollI loved both The Lincoln Highway and A Gentleman in Moscow. Both were very character driven, although I guess The Lincoln Highway has a little more plot. In both, I felt Amor Towles totally immersed me into the stories. I haven’t read Rules of Civility yet, but I have it and am looking forward to it.

Participant@kajingramI loved Rules of Civilty and The Gentleman. Sometimes I worry when I love a couple of books by the same author that another will disappoint. The Lincoln Highway did not disappoint.
