MelissaFromBookGirlsGuideParticipant@melissatestKatherine Center said that she wrote The Bodyguard as her own fun escape during Covid, so she made it intentionally lighter than her other books. How did it compare for you?

Betty SightParticipant@bettyettersThe only other of her books I’ve read is “Things You Save in A Fire”, for one of the other Read Around the USA challenges this year. I agree that “The Bodyguard” definitely has a lighter feel with less tense, life-threatening drama.

AngelaFromBookGirlsGuideParticipant@angelarathbunI agree that this was is much lighter. I’ve read most of her books and enjoyed all of them, but most have an element of tragedy and I loved that this was just a fun escape!

Participant@ldibaccoI haven’t read anything else by this author. I enjoy light books for “summer reading”, and this was good.

Leslie CParticipant@linben33I have read Things You save in a Fire and Hello Stranger. I enjoyed them both. I plan to read How to Walkaway this month for a book chat.
