    • My version of the ICYMI challenge Hi, I've been inspired by the In Case You Missed It challenge to try a personalized version of it this year. I'd been thinking I should read more books by Irish authors (I'm Irish), so I've picked books for each year from 2012 to 2023 to read over the next twelve months. Just finished the first one, One Hundred Names by Cecelia Ahern, published in 2012. It's a popular-level fiction work about a journalist who's got herself in a mess, professionally, and is trying to redeem herself by fulfilling the dying wish of her former editor and mentor. The wish revolves around a list of 100 people with no apparent connection to each other... Can Kitty find out why they are all on this list? It has a pretty happy ending for most people, and it got me out of a bit of a post-Christmas reading slump, so that's good. Thanks for the inspiration!

    • Who else is reading DARK SIDE OF THE RIVER by Bj Daniels ? This book narrates a murder , a mystery and a continuing feud between two Montana Powder River basin families ( the Coopers and the McKennas ) of eastern Montana . It's set in the present time and has a bit of romance in it too. While A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT by Norman McClean is set in the Blackfoot River basin of northwestern Montana during the 1930's ,where the fly fishing for bigger fish is obviously better . However , the Blackfoot basin family's story has a bleaker ending than the Powder River basin family . So I chose to read it instead .  . . A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT is a DNF for me .  What's your opinion of this author's book ?

    • To finish or DNF that is the question?!?!?! For my last June read I am trying to finish the Decades Challenge and I chose a book off my "classics" TBR bookshelf that fit in, Lolita by Vladamir Nabokov. I am about 3/4 of the way through and I am having to force my way through reading the book. I'm wondering if anyone else has read it and what their thoughts were and if they were able to finish or if it ended up on your DNF list?
