This was my first Fiona Davis novel. I loved everything about this book, especially the descriptions of NY at that time in history. The writing was great, and I enjoyed the storyline and characters. None of it seemed too far-fetched, and it made it less “dry”. I also liked how she included Nelly Bly. I read her book not long ago, so it was interesting to revisit from another character’s point of view.
And I remember John Lennon being shot, but forgot where until after I read this. I knew nothing of its history other than that, though.
