        Max’s parents’ marriage was portrayed with ups and downs, especially after Max’s disappearance.  Do you think their marriage survives after Max comes home?

          I would like to think yes, but they had a lot of work to get there

            I really hope so. I agree with you that they have a lot of work to do to get on the same page. I do think they have a better chance at making it now that Max is back home, versus if he hadn’t of made it back home.

              Their conflict seemed to revolve around how to parent Max with an undertone of his mom thinking that his dad didn’t fully understand Max and therefore might not fully love him (maybe I’m reading into that)…but I have to think that when she watched him tackle Max’s kidnapper, she had to feel the force of his love for Max.  Just speaking for myself, that was the part when I cheered out loud! And hopefully seeing that and knowing that would help them.
