Would you have made the same choices?

I had no idea it was a WWII story when I started the book.  I really appreciate the books which cover the war in a non-wartime setting.  Helps realize the devastating, long lasting influence.   I am really conflicted and not sure what I would have done, but happy I was able to read Sage’s journey

It’s so difficult to imagine myself in her situation. I don’t think I would have been able to kill him, but I also don’t think I would have reported him or set him up… it’s a complicated topic that’s what makes it a good book.

Jodi Picoult’s books often deal with wide spread social issues on a very personal level. I can’t say I always agree with her portrayal, but I love that it makes me think about these issues.  Life looks a lot different through someone else’s lens!
That is why I love her books.
