        Was this book a good fit for the Decades Challenge?

          I really enjoyed this story. It was an interesting look into the treatment of black people over the generations. I feel that this books fit the decades theme in that the main focus what during the 50s even if it transcended multiple decades.

              Oh good! We hoped that would be the case based on everything we read about the book, but we’re always a little nervous when we put a book that we know spans multiple decades onto a single decade list.
