Was Budo real? I know that Budo was an imaginary friend, but he sure seemed real! What do you think about the blurry line that Budo walked between being imaginary and real? In what ways was he imaginary and in what ways was he real?

Anyone else know a teacher like Mrs. Gosk? I loved that Mrs. Gosk captured the admiration of everyone in her classroom...I think my favorite was when Oswald met Mrs. Gosk and didn't want to leave her side all day, no matter where she went! In the acknowledgements at the end of the book, the author revealed that Mrs. Gosk is a real teacher! Has anyone else known a teacher like Mrs. Gosk?
