        Excellent story of an extraordinary woman. Please read the authors notes about their research and friendship that developed as a result. I delved into more stories of the heartbreaking choices families made on whether or not to pass as white.

          I agree, this was a fabulous book!

          Belle was a courageous young woman when she decided to take the position of personal librarian for J.P. Morgan.

          I did read the authors’ notes. I was moved by how they talked about their collaboration and becoming sisters.
