Was this book a good fit for the Read Around the USA Challenge?

Yes, it was an enjoyable read and I feel like it made many mentions of ranches and the lifestyle in Texas.

I think so. I definitely liked the part about the brazos River.

I enjoyed the storyline. This was a relief book for me as I had just finished a non-challenge “heavy” read. I lived in Texas briefly as a child but I remembered little about the lifestyle outside of the city. I also did not know anything about the Brazos River. I recommend keeping this title.

Yes, it was a nice, light read after some of the other heavier choices this month.

Yes, definitely! Katherine Center is a great author and this book made the most of the Texas location.  I loved it!

I thing so. It talked about ranching a bit and some local lore and geography.

Yes. I like a more light hearted option now and then.  Some books get heavy. It is nice to read a  “Hallmark-ish” style book every now and then.

Very enjoyable for me.  Being from Texas, I loved the references to landmarks and locations.

Yes, this was a good choice.  Got a sense of Texas while reading it.
