        Marion had many hard choices, like trying out for the Rockettes, accepting the job despite her father’s demands, choosing her happiness over a marriage proposal, and returning to care for her father despite all his bad choices and actions.

        Did you agree with all her decisions?

          Yes.  I am not sure I would have gone against my father’s wishes as not sure my level of bravery for doing such a thing back then.  I think the Rockette guy gave her a good out to leave the Rockettes.

            I think she was brave to go out & try out, then live that life without her father’s approval. Good for her!
            Then to have the compassion to go back to take care of him, that is unconditional love. Not sure I could have done that after all that knowledge.
